Point the app at your server

First run

Section titled “First run”
  1. On the sign-in step of onboarding, open Use a different TeamHUD server.
  2. Enter the Server address, for example https://teamhud.example.com.
  3. Sign in or create an account (what is offered depends on your sign-up setting).

Later, or when already signed in

Open Preferences, Accounts and edit the account. Its Server address field takes the new address, with Test sign-in and save. Saving signs the account in again. A sign-in never carries over to another server, and switching the server while signed in signs the user out of the old one first.

What the address must look like

  • https:// is required. TeamHUD servers need TLS with a real certificate; self-signed certificates break calls.
  • http:// is accepted only for loopback (localhost, 127.0.0.1, ::1), so you can evaluate a server on the same machine.
  • Just the host: anything after it, or a query string, is rejected.
